HOW FAR OUT DO YOU BOOK?

We book one year in advance. We are currently booking for 2026 and 2027 only and have 2028 waitlisted.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?

Between the two of us, we've been behind the camera for the last twelve years, and the last four years professionally as a team offering both photo and video.

WILL THERE BE ADDTIONAL FEES LIKE TRAVEL OR ACCOMMDATIONS ABOVE AND BEYOND MY PACKAGE PRICING?

Because our services extend throughout Atlantic Canada, which means a lot of traveling, it’s not fiscally viable for us to include travel fees in our package price. All packages are subject to a $0.45 per km outside of a 50km range from Halifax. Bookings 2+ hours outside of Halifax or in PEI and NB are subject to a flat rate travel fee of $500.00 which covers our two night accommodation and mileage. Travel costs to Newfoundland are on a case by case scenario depending on location within the province. This will be discussed further in the consult call.

Please note, our goal is to be as reasonable as possible to account for travel costs. We’re not making money off of charging you this. For travel requests outside of Atlantic Canada and Internationally, this will require custom travel cost pricing which we can discuss once we connect.

UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I LOSE MY DEPOSIT?

Our retainer fee is non-refundable for the date you book which means if you cancel, you will lose your deposit. The reason we do this because we most likely turned down other work or have already sunk costs into your day like booking travel and accommodations ahead of time. Under certain circumstances if you choose to rebook for a new date, we may allow for one reschedule without losing your deposit.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE NEED TO MOVE OR RESCHEDULE OUR DATE?

Bad weather sometimes is inevitable, and depending how bad, can ruin a day. In our years of doing this, this has only happened once to us, and in our case, it was Hurricane Fiona. Hurricanes aside though, a little rain typically never hurts, and in fact, some of the most amazing content comes from days where it's cloudy, wet, and the weather is a little moody. If bad weather is on your wedding day, our advice would be to embrace it. That day is yours, and it’s part of your story which we’re excited to tell authentically. So dive in, and embrace whatever gets thrown your way. Whatever you decide, we’re in!

However, if you really need to reschedule for whatever reason, we will try our best to accommodate. We typically allow one reschedule; however, it we’re not available for your new day, we will not be able to withdraw our prior obligations to other clients and will have to terminate our contract with you.

HOW DO YOU BACKUP AND STORE THE CONTENT YOU CAPTURE?

We've all heard the nightmares, photographers and videographers shooting on your big day and then the most horrible thing happens: the RAW files are somehow compromised.

Good news here: all of our footage is recorded on two memory cards during the day, meaning when shooting there is a backup being done on the spot. Once we return to our office, we back up all footage onto two external drives and cards.

And the best part, we never get rid of or delete the RAW/edited files as we've had clients come to us years after looking for them.

HOW INVOLVED ARE YOU WITH THE PLANNING PROCESS OF OUR DAY?

While we typically do not help with detailed planning (there are much more qualified people out there who specialize in the wedding planning and day of coordination department), we absolutely help with planning everything related to our scope of work including timeline assistance. We'll recommend scheduling a few consult calls between day of booking and day of event to review timelines and our questionnaire. We will also send you a PDF file which will include lots of helpful information such as tips and tricks. And remember, you can text, call or email us whenever you need to! We got chu’ !!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY FINISHED PRODUCT?

Photography sneak peek within one week. Video teaser up to 4 weeks. Engagements within 2 - 6 weeks. Elopements/Micro Weddings within 8 - 16 weeks, and Weddings are up to 24 weeks. For photo + video ultimate packages, often we send the photos first, and the video a little afterwards since video takes longer to edit; however, we try our best to deliver at the same time when possible. Physical media copies will be sent in the mail or by pick-up/drop-off (depending on location) after files have been sent digitally and you’ve photos for your album.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT MY CONTENT SHARED ONLINE?

Then that is totally up to you! While we recommend allowing us to share the highlight and teaser, we would never do something that makes you uncomfortable. However, if you're up for it, we would really, really appreciate getting to share it as it helps us promote our work! If you do not want your content posted online, this will need to be disclosed ahead of time in both our virtual consult and in the questionnaire submitted prior to the day of filming. We can also provide an NDA if required.

IS HOW I STORE MY PHOTOS/VIDEO IMPORTANT?

Yes! We cannot stress this enough. Although your gallery will be displayed and downloaded in high-resolution, we cannot control how or what you do with it after.  Stay away from storing them apps, or social sites like Facebook or Instagram, which will compress your imagery and video. Also, we hate that we have to say this, but if you take a screenshot of a photo, and re-save it, it will compress the file and destroy quality. We are not held liable for any distorted images based on how you store/share them. So please, make sure to store your photos on a desktop, laptop or USB. Your media package will contain one USB with your gallery on it; however, we recommend back ups as our online gallery link expires after 6 months.

CAN I REQUEST A SPECIFIC EDITING STYLE?

We try our best to accommodate each clients requests when it comes to what they want captured for their video. This is why we have consult calls, and send out questionnaires to ensure we're getting what you want to the best of out abilities. We also love and encourage sending us pinterest mood boards or samples of work you like too.

However, at the end of the day, you booked us for us and we hope that our portfolio gives you an idea of what to expect style and edit wise. If you're really un-happy with the edit, we will do everything we can do fix it within reason.

Videography Specific FAQs

WHAT VIDEO GEAR DO YOU BRING?

We shoot on multiple different cameras with a variety of lenses to ranging from 24mm-400mm during the day. We also have a behind the scenes handheld camera which you can use!

Our set up is usually one of us on a handheld rig and the other on a gimbal. This provides a variety of styles to incorporate into your film. We also always bring lighting systems which includes on camera lighting and stand lighting for indoor events; however, we cannot guarantee we will use them as each wedding and scenario varies.

For audio recordings, we use clip on and lavalier mics, as well on camera shotgun mics for ambient sound. We also plug into your sound system to capture any audio spoken into a mic. Having lots of audio sources is super important for both back-ups and also us to ensure we're capturing as much of the day as possible.

OUR PHOTOGRAPHER / CORDINATOR MADE OUR TIMELINE, WILL THIS AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO SHOOT VIDEO?

Photographers and coordinators often build timelines based on their own workflows, which don’t always account for the unique demands of documentary style videography. Unlike photography, video requires more setup and breakdown throughout the day—multiple cameras, tripods, microphones, and other gear all take time to position and manage.

To help everything run smoothly, we like to connect with your photographer or coordinator ahead of time to helps us align our vision and avoid any surprises on the day. We also ask that you share your planning details with us as early as possible so we can review it together and adjust expectations if needed.

If you're concerned about timeline coordination, our photo + video combo packages are a great option. Because we’re working as one team, we’re able to structure the day in a way that balances both photography and videography needs, ensuring neither is compromised.

DO YOU GIVE OUT RAW VIDEO FOOTAGE?

As part of every video package, we include all of your captured footage as edited ready-to-watch files organized in chapters — our elevated take RAW footage delivery.

While couples often ask about receiving RAW video files, our approach offers something far more watchable and easy to navigate. This way you still receive everything we took throughout the day, but without the hassle of having to sift through hours of unstructured, individual clips.

All of the footage includes a basic color grade and audio leveling, ensuring your videos look clean, consistent, and ready to enjoy. Everything is securely stored and delivered on either a USB or external hard drive as part of your physical media package.

CAN I PICK MY OWN SONGS FOR THE final film?

When it comes to picking your own songs, we can provide you with the links to our royalty-free music providers for you to browse ahead of time. Royalty free is an absolute requirement for all of our videos as companies who use music without permission can get into big trouble.

However, because music selection is a big part of our creative process, we prefer when clients trust us to pick songs that suit the footage/audio captured that day. We take our time getting to know you, and pride ourselves on selecting music that feels like the right fit.

If you absolutely do not like the music we've chosen, we will allow for one re-edit. Re-editing video to a new song is incredibly time consuming as all the footage needs to be re-worked to fit the BPM of the music. Should a re-edit be required, the length of time will exceed the timeline set out in the original contract and likely a new contract will need to be signed.

we want to send you videos and photos to include in our film. is this possible?

100%. We encourage all couples to send us personal videos and photos to include into their film. Upon booking you'll be sent an email containing a shared drive with us where you can upload your files.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT ABOUT YOUR SHOOTING STYLE. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Our shooting style is a combination of posed and candid shots. We like to fuse documentary, editorial and creative photography together. This means we'll be giving some direction when required, but also sometimes just letting things happen as is.

Now, this by no means suggests that you won't get those posed shots you're looking for. The bridal portraits (with both the couple, and bridesmaids/groomsmen) and family photos is something we absolutely make time for since they are likely the ones you'll frame! However, we thrive in opportunities to create art and we believe that the candid, behind the scenes style of shooting does just that. To us, these are not just photos, but instead memories you can look back on that prioritize how you truly felt on your wedding day.

Do you recommend I add 35mm film or Polaroids to my package?

Absolutely. There's nothing more exciting than sending the rolls of film off to be developed, and anticipating what will come back. There's something so nostalgic yet timeless about film that is hard to capture digitally. While all of our edits are film inspired, we highly recommend adding film if it's within your budget! It's nostalgic, timeless, and honestly, just freakin' cool. Learn more about this option below!

DO YOU GIVE OUT RAW/UN-EDITED PHOTOS?

No, quite simply because we believe RAW images are only half of the work done. Also because editing is a major part of our creative process it wouldn’t make sense for us to do that. Remember, you came to us for our shooting style AND editing style. However, should this be something you absolutely require, we will consider it for an additional fee and update to you client/vendor contract upon booking.

DO YOU PHOTOSHOP US TO LOOK BETTER?

While all our photos are edited to some extent, we believe in capturing your most GENUINE and AUTHENTIC self. We promote body positivity and self love, and it is our mission to make sure this is translated in the way we shoot and what we advertise. Even when it comes to editing, we keep it minimal and usually stay away from air-brushing and making you look like something you're not.  While we (of course) give guidance on how to pose for your most flattering angles, we are not in the business of Photoshopping tummy tucks, adding plumping, removing double chins, etc. If you'd like us to Photoshop out temporary things like blemishes or bruises in your photos, we can do that, but please made it known ahead of time.

CAN I BUY PRINTS DIRECTLY FROM YOU?

Yes! All of your photos in the form of prints are done in-house by us, and canvases, albums, etc can be ordered from our 3rd party supplier directly on the platform we deliver our gallery.

However, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from ordering through your own vendor of choice as your gallery is fully downloadable and all of our contracts contain a print release.
